We now know that progesterone is a hormone created within a woman’s ovaries which helps to prepare the womb each month for acceptance of a fertilized egg, and attachment of a fetus.

Not having an adequate level of progesterone in the body is a problematic circumstance for many women. Why? Because a number of problems can result from low levels including irregular menstrual cycles, miscarriage and increased cancer risk from unchecked estrogen.

It is extremely important to a woman’s overall health during her entire lifetime (not just during her reproductive years) that her body produces and maintains normal levels of progesterone. The most important reason for this is so that it properly counterbalances the effects of estrogen. These levels can be adversely affected by a number of environmental factors including stress, prescription hormones, and hormones used in commercially produced and processed dairy products and meats.

Now that we know that it’s important for your body to maintain normal levels, we are faced with the following question: What are some signs that your body may have low Levels of progesterone? Here are some clues:

Breast tenderness

Fibrocystic breasts

Decreased/Low sex drive

Depression

Obesity

Night sweats

Bone loss

Irregular menstruation

Excessive bleeding during menstruation

Uterine fibroids

Water retention

Sleeplessness

Vaginal dryness

Thyroid dysfunction

Unclear thinking

Infertility/Miscarriage

Headaches

Endometriosis

Many of these symptoms don’t seem particularly alarming when considered separately, and therein lies the danger. Because they may appear harmless, oftentimes signs of low progesterone are not specifically noticed or interpreted as reasons for concern.

However, when you have noticed these symptoms occurring simultaneously, they should certainly be a signal that something in the body is not normal. This is then reason for a higher level of concern, and should warrant further investigation.

If you are considering using progesterone to relieve the symptoms of menopause then it is very worthwhile to consider natural progesterone products over the chemical based or altered products. Progesterone in women is produced by the ovaries so when a women begins to go through menopause in mid life, it is only natural that her levels of progesterone will decrease due to the so called “shutting down” of the ovaries and reproductive system.

It is believed that progesterone can have a regulatory effect on the body therefore the belief that progesterone should be topped up in the body is becoming more and more widespread. This applies to both males and females, although this article will focus on progesterone for women going through menopause.

Menopause is when menstruation no longer occurs in a woman. Estrogen production drops to significantly low levels and menstruation marks the end of a woman’s ability to reproduce. Unfortunately menopause also brings with it some side effects due to the drop in the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone. Most women hit menopause at around 50 to 55 years of age although it can occur earlier.

Menopausal symptoms can include:

Hot flushes

Headaches

Moodiness

Vaginal irritation

Dry skin

Bladder issues

Irritability

Depression

Tiredness

Natural progesterone cream like NatPro provides an all natural supplement for women. The aim of it is to reduce or eliminate symptoms of menopause such as hot flushes and vaginal irritation amongst others listed above. Whilst the supplementation will not being a women back into a reproductive cycle (this is impossible), natural progesterone aims to make life easier by minimizing the irritating and often debilitating symptoms of menopause.

NatPro is the leading natural progesterone cream. It does not contain any toxic substances. There are no growth hormones and no unnatural ingredients. This means there is no risk and no side effects.

Natpro only contains only vegetable substances, no animal substances. It is important to know that many drug companies use animals in cruel testing procedures in laboratories. On the other hand, NatPro has never and will never cause suffering to any animal in the manufacture or use of NatPro organic natural progesterone cream. If a woman becomes estrogen dominant (where there is excessive estrogen but little or no progesterone to balance it out), a variety of health problems can occur such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, weight gain, increased blood clotting, thyroid dysfunction and cancer. This is because there is too much estrogen and not enough progesterone.

For this reason it is vital to balance the estrogen out with an optimal level of natural progesterone. This can be achieved through the use of NatPro, a highly effective and widely recommended organic natural progesterone cream.

Researchers are constantly linking many forms of cancer to estrogen dominance, so it is obvious that this needs to be balanced out with progesterone. The cream is the easiest and least invasive method of bring your levels up to avoid becoming estrogen dominant.

Natural progesterone is highly recommended as a menopause symptoms reliever. It will even out the hormones in the body if a female becomes estrogen dominant, which often happens around the time of menopause. It can also benefit women who have had a hysterectomy or who are suffering from symptoms of PMS.

Natural progesterone cream such as NatPro matches the progesterone that is found in the body without any unnatural substances being used. This means there are no side effects as you are simply replacing the body’s natural hormones with progesterone cream. You must be aware when purchasing progesterone cream that you only purchase the natural varieties such as NatPro, which is known to be a top of the line natural progesterone product. Synthetically produced progesterone will bring upon side effects to the menopausal woman such as migraines, asthma, fluid retention and cardiac problems.

These creams like NatPro are simply used on the skin. The skin then absorbs the progesterone. It is a painless method and even easier than taking pills. Natural progesterone will relieve the symptoms of menopause. Not only that, it also provides middle aged women with a host of additional benefits including:

Increases libido

Helps prevent against various cysts and cancer

Relieves depression

Normalizes blood sugar levels

Menopause generally occurs from age 50-55 in women. Symptoms associated with menopause commonly include:

Hot flashes – flushing of the face and overall increase in body temperature

Depression – Hormonal changes often cause depression

Irritability – Mood swings and irritability are common

Vaginal itchiness – Dryness and itchiness in the vagina is a common menopause symptom. See your doctor to rule out serious problems here.

Fatigue – Many women note that they feel extra tired during menopause.

There are also other symptoms experienced by menopausal women.

NatPro, the natural progesterone cream, provides fantastic menopause symptom relief. There are no toxic substances in NatPro and it is not tested on animals.

Progesterone has a regulatory effect on the body so if it exists in lowered amounts, the body can begin to react inefficiently. Many pre-menopausal women can tend to be estrogen dominant; therefore progesterone needs to be supplemented to even out the hormonal balance.

Estrogen dominance can lead to such things as uterine fibroids, weight gain, infertility and cancer. This is where natural progesterone comes in. It will help maintain optimal levels of progesterone whilst helping to avoid an over abundance of estrogen. With that said, menopausal women will eventually experience a drop in estrogen levels. This can lead to the usual array of menopause symptoms.

Supplementing with natural progesterone cream can help this situation dramatically. Natural progesterone cream like NatPro aims to resolve problems such as vaginal dryness and hot flushes amongst other menopausal symptoms.

Every woman will require a different amount of natural progesterone cream. It will depend on whether you are menopausal, pre-menopausal (where estrogen dominance can occur) and any other health issues you may have. It is best if you see a doctor before taking on any progesterone supplementation plan.

Many women are wondering if there really is a viable, effective natural alternative to HRT or Hormone Replacement Therapy. Hormone Replacement Therapy is a synthetic form of therapy (unnatural) which whilst may be somewhat effective in treating symptoms of menopause, unfortunately produces a number of potentially very serious short and long term side effects.

These side effects and illnesses can include:

Increased chance of getting high blood pressure and a hardening of the arteries. More risk of blood clots Heightened chance of a heart attack Increased risk of stroke Negative effect on the metabolism of blood-sugar. Greater risk of liver and gall bladder disease Increased incidence of various cancers including liver, lung, cervix, ovarian and breast cancers.

Obviously, many women feel it is not worth the underlying risk to undergo Hormone Replacement Therapy. Studies have also proven that women are indeed at increased risk of the above diseases when they are on HRT. It needs to be supplemented when estrogen dominance occurs. Progesterone has a major effect on the body and when progesterone levels drop, the body does react quite strongly. Estrogen dominance occurs when a woman’s body has too much estrogen and very little or even no progesterone to even it out.

Problems that occur when there is very little progesterone in the body compared to estrogen include symptoms of PMS, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, weight gain, thyroid dysfunction and in some cases, cancer. This can actually occur in both men and women.

Women who use natural progesterone to correct the hormonal imbalance report a remarkable turnaround in their health. A cream such as NatPro is very simple to use (it is applied topically to the skin) and is totally safe and without the risks of Hormone Replacement Therapy. Most people do not realize the health problems which can occur when the levels have dropped significantly. It is a fact that using progesterone supplementation can improve period regulation and can even trigger ovulation.

Natural progesterone should not be used if you are on the contraceptive pill. In fact, it would be a waste of time as they would be competing with each other. Other side effects of HRT which do not occur with the use of natural progesterone include: Moodiness Weight gain Loss of libido Depression Emotional Disorders Psychological disorders. It as even been known to increase the moods of women, leading it to be called the “happy hormone”! If you have been on HRT for a while then going “cold turkey” will usually trigger quite distressing side effects. This is because the body is used to high levels of estrogen so when a change occurs, many symptoms do as well.

For this reason it is then recommended that you gradually reduce your use of HRT, as advised by a doctor. It is then that you can begin to introduce progesterone back into the body. It is a 100% natural progesterone cream which is a proven effective treatment for menopause, PMS and other hormonal complications.

Natural Progesterone Cream Inhibits Effects of Too Much Estrogen

Progesterone cream is beneficial for both men and women. Progesterone is a hormone that is made naturally by the human body. It effects every tissue in the body including the uterus, cervix, vagina, the endocrine system, brain cells, fat metabolism, thyroid hormone function, water balance, peripheral nerve myelin sheath synthesis, bone cells, energy production, the immune system, and more. It is not strictly a female hormone. For men progesterone is produced in the adrenal glands in the testes. For women progesterone is made by the corpus luteum of the ovary. The use of natural progesterone cream inhibits the harmful effects of too much estrogen and reverses the effects of “Estrogen Dominance.”

All natural progesterone creams are completely safe. It is a highly fat-soluble compound that is well absorbed when applied to the skin. There have been no known side effects associated with natural progesterone creams. It’s also good to know that progesterone cream is non-toxic. Cape Fear Naturals sells a 2 oz jar of Natural Progesterone Cream, made with 1000mg of USP Micronized progesterone, for only .95. USP stands for “United States Pharmacopia” which refers to the grade or purity of the product. Any product that is labeled USP pharmaceutical grade will be made of the highest quality and purity. It is much better to use natural progesterone versus synthetic progesterone know as progestins. Synthetic progesterone has been show to have undesirable side effects and the body does not process it as well.

Estrogen dominance is a term that refers to what happens when the normal ratio or balance of estrogen to progesterone is changed by excess estrogen or inadequate progesterone. When estrogen is not balanced by adequate progesterone it is very potent and potentially dangerous. Symptoms include weight gain, bloating, mood swings, irritability, tender breasts, headaches, fatigue, depression, hypoglycemia, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and fibrocystic breasts. Women who suffer from PMS and menopausal symptoms will recognize these familiar symptoms. Estrogen dominance has been known to cause or contribute to breast cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrium cancer, and prostate cancer.

For men, having too much estrogen leads to many problems. These include adiposity, breast development, cancer, prostate problems, baldness, and more. Progesterone prevents prostate disease. It inhibits the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which prevents excess DHT from being produced from testosterone. Having an excess of DHT can lead to cancer and even male baldness. By ensuring that your progesterone levels are balanced you can ensure that your body is not producing too much DHT. A man’s prostate has progesterone receptors and it must constantly have enough blood progesterone to keep them filling in order to have a healthy prostate gland. In men, progesterone is anti-feminizing. It actually increases the libido in men, and in women. All men over the age of 50 should use natural progesterone cream to balance the excess estrogen in the body. A man only needs to use 1/8 teaspoon 5 days a week. It should be applied directly to the scrotum.

For women, having too much estrogen also causes numerous problems such as breast cancer and reproductive cancers. Progesterone balances and opposes the effects of the estrogen. It is also used in hormone replacement therapy for menopausal women. The prostegerone levels fall dramatically when women experience menopause. For some women there is no progesterone being made at all by the body. Women who are experiencing both pre-menopause and menopause can benefit greatly from the use of progesterone cream. When you balance the hormone levels with the use of progesterone cream you can diminish the symptoms associated with pre-menopause and menopause. It has also been show to stimulate bone building, which prevents osteoporosis. Premenopausal women should apply ½ teaspoon daily to stomach, chest or abdomen daily from day 12-26 of the menstrual cycle. Day 1 of the menstrual cycle is the first day of your period. Postmenopausal women should apply ¼ teaspoon daily to chest, stomach or abdomen for 3 out of 4 weeks of the month.

So balance your estrogen and progesterone levels with the use of Natural Progesterone Cream. Be sure you purchase natural, not synthetic, progesterone cream as it is the only one that is proven to work without the adverse side effects. This is a great product for both men and women. As always consult your doctor before the use or addition of any supplement or natural product.

More and more often, women today are being diagnosed with hormonal imbalance. One of the reasons for the increased occurrence of hormonal imbalance is the prevalence of estrogen and “estrogen like” chemicals now commonly found in our food supply, pesticides, plastics and other common products and substances. Hormonal imbalances can be both unpleasant and disruptive experiences, even leading to life-threatening circumstances. Part of ensuring optimum health for women, means taking steps to ensure that hormonal health is promoted and protected.

Estrogen and progesterone are two extremely important hormones in a woman’s body. These two hormones work together throughout a woman’s childbearing years, and continuing even after menopause, forming a delicate balance in maintaining hormonal health. During the first 10 days of a woman’s menstrual cycle, estrogen is produced, followed then by the production of progesterone when ovulation takes place. If pregnancy does not occur, then the levels of both hormones decrease, resulting in menstruation. After menopause, both estrogen and progesterone continue to be produced in the body at decreased levels. Whenever these two hormones are out of balance, the resulting symptoms may be uncomfortable at best, but can lead to situations that are extremely detrimental.

Estrogen/progesterone imbalance occurs when there is an imbalance in the levels of estrogen versus the levels of progesterone in the body. Most often, this condition is manifested in estrogen dominance where there is an excess in the level of estrogen relative to the level of progesterone.

How do you know if you are experiencing symptoms of estrogen/progesterone imbalance?
Symptoms of imbalance between estrogen and progesterone occur as a result of a disruption between the balance of these two very important hormones. Symptoms may include:

Allergy
Depression
Bloating and water retention
Foggy thinking
Endometriosis
PMS
Fibrocystic breasts
Hair loss
Osteoporosis
Dizziness
Facial hair growth
Fatigue
Anxiety
Headaches
Low sex drive
Uterine fibroids
Weight gain

If you suspect that you may be suffering from symptoms of estrogen/progesterone imbalance, it’s a simple matter to be tested to determine whether or not you are. Don’t simply assume that the above symptoms are simple signs of aging. They aren’t. Take control of your health. Be aggressive in finding out the truth about the condition of your body, and steps you may take to improve your condition. If you are suffering with estrogen/progesterone imbalance, it may be that natural progesterone can help in restoring your body’s hormonal balance.

Estrogen dominance is a term originally developed by Dr. John Lee, an extensive researcher of the relationships between estrogen and progesterone. The term estrogen dominance describes the condition that occurs in a woman’s body when estrogen is the dominate hormone in relationship to its natural counter balance with progesterone.

Many people are unaware that women can experience estrogen dominance even with deficient or normal levels of estrogen present in the body. Estrogen dominance in and of itself does not necessarily mean a condition of excessive estrogen. What it does mean is that estrogen is the dominate hormone in its relation to the level of progesterone in the body. So, the overall level of the body’s estrogen can be at a normal level, or it can even be at a deficient level, however, if the level of progesterone is also deficient and at levels not sufficient to counterbalance the effects of estrogen, then there will exist the circumstance of estrogen dominance.

Estrogen dominance can have a number of causes, especially considering the excessive estrogen (or “estrogen-like” chemical compounds) that are now present in our everyday environment. These include products and substances we’re constantly exposed to such as pesticide residue, plastics, meat products, an even furniture.

Symptoms of estrogen dominance make for a long list. They include, but are not limited to, the following:

Allergies, including asthma, hives, rashes, sinus congestion
Early onset of menstruation
Endometrial (uterine) cancer
Autoimmune disorders (lupus, thyroiditis)
Anxiety
Depression
Breast cancer
Breast tenderness
Cervical dysplasia
Decreased sex drive
Breast cysts
Foggy thinking
Infertility
Uterine Fibroids
Increased fat gain (especially abdomen, hips and thighs)
Fatigue
Mood swings
Bone loss
Ovarian cysts
Hair Loss
PMS
Headaches
Hypoglycemia
Increased blood clotting (increasing risk of strokes)
Uterine cancer
Irregular menstrual periods
Irritability
Insomnia
Magnesium deficiency
Memory loss
Water retention
Osteoporosis
Sluggish metabolism
Thyroid dysfunction

It may be difficult for a woman to determine that she may have a condition of estrogen dominance from any one of these symptoms when considered individually. However, if you are experiencing several or a number of these symptoms in conjunction with one another, then there is reason to suspect that your body is operating in a state of estrogen dominance. As soon as you suspect that this may be a possibility, you should visit your medical practitioner and be tested to confirm the condition.

If it is discovered that you are indeed experiencing estrogen dominance, it will be to your benefit to carefully explore and consider all of the options available to you, then select the course of treatment that you and your medical practitioner deem most appropriate to your situation.

More risk of blood clots
Heightened chance of a heart attack
Increased risk of stroke
Negative effect on the metabolism of blood-sugar.
Greater risk of liver and gall bladder disease
Increased incidence of various cancers including liver, lung, cervix, ovarian and breast cancers.

Obviously, many women feel it is not worth the underlying risk to undergo Hormone Replacement Therapy. Studies have also proven that women are indeed at increased risk of the above diseases when they are on HRT.

Progesterone needs to be supplemented when estrogen dominance occurs.

A natural progesterone cream such as NatPro is very simple to use (it is applied topically to the skin) and is totally safe and without the risks of Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Most people do not realize the health problems which can occur when progesterone levels have dropped significantly. It is a fact that using progesterone supplementation can improve period regulation and can even trigger ovulation.

Natural progesterone should not be used if you are on the contraceptive pill. In fact, it would be a waste of time as they would be competing with each other.

Other side effects of HRT which do not occur with the use of natural progesterone include:
Moodiness
Weight gain
Loss of libido
Depression
Emotional Disorders
Psychological disorders

Natural progesterone has even been known to increase the moods of women, leading it to be called the “happy hormone”!

NatPro is a 100% natural progesterone cream which is a proven effective treatment for menopause, PMS and other hormonal complications.

We now know that progesterone is a hormone created within a woman’s ovaries which helps to prepare the womb each month for acceptance of a fertilized egg, and attachment of a fetus.

Not having an adequate level of progesterone in the body is a problematic circumstance for many women. Why? Because a number of problems can result from low progesterone levels including irregular menstrual cycles, miscarriage and increased cancer risk from unchecked estrogen.

It is extremely important to a woman’s overall health during her entire lifetime (not just during her reproductive years) that her body produces and maintains normal levels of progesterone. The most important reason for this is so that it properly counterbalances the effects of estrogen.

Progesterone levels can be adversely affected by a number of environmental factors including stress, prescription hormones, and hormones used in commercially produced and processed dairy products and meats.

Now that we know that it’s important for your body to maintain normal progesterone levels, we are faced with the following question: What are some signs that your body may have low Levels of progesterone? Here are some clues:

Breast tenderness
Fibrocystic breasts
Decreased/Low sex drive
Depression
Obesity
Night sweats
Bone loss
Irregular menstruation
Excessive bleeding during menstruation
Uterine fibroids
Water retention
Sleeplessness
Vaginal dryness
Thyroid dysfunction
Unclear thinking
Infertility/Miscarriage
Headaches
Endometriosis

Many of these symptoms don’t seem particularly alarming when considered separately, and therein lies the danger. Because they may appear harmless, oftentimes signs of low progesterone are not specifically noticed or interpreted as reasons for concern.

However, when you have noticed these symptoms occurring simultaneously, they should certainly be a signal that something in the body is not normal. This is then reason for a higher level of concern, and should warrant further investigation.
