Mood swings are normal…everybody has them. But largely because women are perceived as “emotional” beings, their changes in mood can seem amplified to others, whether or not it’s a justified assessment.

Mood swings can be triggered and affected by a number of factors, including those that are mental and emotional, environmental, or physical in origin. Simple things like failing to get enough sleep, going for long periods of time without eating, or being overwhelmed and overworked can affect a woman’s mood. Similarly, equally simple things such as being able to enjoy an extended period of relaxation, or successful completion of an especially difficult task can also have a particular affect on a woman’s mood. But mood swings can also be symptoms of much more serious issues.

After successful studies and the publication of subsequent findings in the 1970’s with regard to premenstrual syndrome and the relationship between hormones and mood, it is now accepted that hormonal changes can and do affect the moods of women, and have the capacity to make women more susceptible to mood swings in general. Some look to the numbers of women being treated for mood disorders including depression and anxiety as evidential proof.

Therefore, maintaining optimum levels and balance between hormones including serotonin, epinephrine and dopamine together with correction of nutrient deficiencies (such as vitamins B12, B6 or folic acid) can be beneficial in regulating mood swings and controlling instances of depression or anxiety. Both serotonin and dopamine are neurotransmitters and act as “messengers” within the nervous system, having the ability to enhance mood. Serotonin tends to have an overall calming effect.
Progesterone has a direct relationship in the body’s process of these “mood altering” hormones.

The use of natural progesterone can help to affect hormone levels, bringing them back to a balanced state, and thus alleviating physical triggers for mood swings. This can provide immense relief for women suffering from mood swings or bouts of anxiety or depression which are related to their hormonal balance.

Have you ever awakened in the middle of the night only to find your clothing and even your bedding soaking wet with sweat? Do you find that you just never seem to have enough energy, in spite of getting what is considered to be normal or sufficient amounts of rest? Has your husband or “significant other” begun dropping not-so-subtle hints about your lack of interest in sex?

Have you ever visited your doctor and complained of weight gain, breast tenderness or cramps, only to be told your experiences are “normal”? Have you experienced migraine headaches, mood swings or increasing bouts of depression with no real relief? Have you suffered with a combination of the above symptoms for a considerable amount of time, but never considered that they all may be indications of one, single underlying problem?

If any of the above is true, it’s quite possible that you are experiencing symptoms of hormonal imbalance. Your hormones control and affect a number of bodily systems that rely on and impact one another. When any one of those hormones, or a group of them, become imbalanced in relation to each another, that imbalance may cause a number of problems. Your body was designed to work as a system. Just as the system in your automobile or your computer has different parts that are required to work together for optimum performance, so does your body. And, in order for your body to maintain its best condition and operate most beneficially, your hormones need to work in balance.

The level of natural progesterone and hormonal imbalance are intricately related to one another. When natural progesterone is not present in your body in sufficient amounts to counterbalance the amounts of estrogen present, the condition can manifest in the symptoms previously described. The addition of natural progesterone can help you to restore the balance of hormones in your body. Many of the symptoms described above can be the result of one hormone’s (estrogen) disproportionate presence in your body.

Suffering from a deficiency of natural progesterone and hormonal imbalance is no way to live. Happy hormones make happier and healthier people. By adding natural progesterone back into your body’s chemistry, you can elevate your body’s overall progesterone level and bring it back into balance with the levels of estrogen, and return your body’s hormonal system to a normal state of being.

They endure the suffering each and every month, year after year for as long as they are in their reproductive years (usually ages 12 – 50). That is a lot of suffering!

Different women can experience a variety of symptoms and can even experience different symptoms one month to another. The usual range of symptoms are: acne, anger alternating with sadness, appetite changes, bloating, breast tenderness, crying, depression, fatigue, food cravings, irritability, mood swings and being emotionally overly sensitive. The symptoms are a combination of emotional ones and physical ones. They all feel like they are out of control “things” that are happening to the woman.

These symptoms can have an impact on her ability to function if they are at an extreme level. The physical symptoms especially (acne, bloating, breast tenderness and fatigue can make her feel physically ill to the point of not being able to function at work or at home. If these symptoms are to the extreme where the woman is unable to function she may be suffering from premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). This disorder is also called late luteal phase dysphoric disorder.

Approximately 80% of menstruating women have premenstrual symptoms. Experiencing physical or emotional symptoms does not automatically mean that the woman is suffering from PMS. A doctor diagnoses PMS based on the severity of the symptoms and the inability of the woman to function normally because of them. Approximately 20% to 30% of the 80% of women who have PMS symptoms have moderate to severe intensity of symptoms and 2% to 6% of those women are believed to have the severe variant of PMS known as PMDD.

The disorder was officially recognized by the medical community in 1931 and the term “premenstrual syndrome was coined in 1953.

If you are considering using progesterone to relieve the symptoms of menopause then it is very worthwhile to consider natural progesterone products over the chemical based or altered progesterone products.

progesterone in women is produced by the ovaries so when a women begins to go through menopause in mid life, it is only natural that her levels of progesterone will decrease due to the so called “shutting down” of the ovaries and reproductive system.

It is believed that progesterone can have a regulatory effect on the body therefore the belief that progesterone should be topped up in the body is becoming more and more widespread. This applies to both males and females, although this article will focus on progesterone for women going through menopause.

Menopause is when menstruation no longer occurs in a woman. Estrogen production drops to significantly low levels and menstruation marks the end of a woman’s ability to reproduce.

Unfortunately menopause also brings with it some side effects due to the drop in the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone. Most women hit menopause at around 50 to 55 years of age although it can occur earlier.

Menopausal symptoms can include:

Hot flushes
Headaches
Moodiness
Vaginal irritation
Dry skin
Bladder issues
Irritability
Depression
Tiredness

Natural progesterone cream like NatPro provides an all natural supplement for women. The aim of natural progesterone is to reduce or eliminate symptoms of menopause such as hot flushes and vaginal irritation amongst others listed above. Whilst progesterone supplementation will not being a women back into a reproductive cycle (this is impossible), natural progesterone aims to make life easier by minimizing the irritating and often debilitating symptoms of menopause.

NatPro is the leading natural progesterone cream. It does not contain any toxic substances. There are no growth hormones and no unnatural ingredients. This means there is no risk and no side effects.

Natpro only contains only vegetable substances, no animal substances. It is important to know that many drug companies use animals in cruel testing procedures in laboratories. On the other hand, NatPro has never and will never cause suffering to any animal in the manufacture or use of NatPro organic natural progesterone cream.

If a woman becomes estrogen dominant (where there is excessive estrogen but little or no progesterone to balance it out), a variety of health problems can occur such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, weight gain, increased blood clotting, thyroid dysfunction and cancer. This is because there is too much estrogen and not enough progesterone.

For this reason it is vital to balance the estrogen out with an optimal level of natural progesterone. This can be achieved through the use of NatPro, a highly effective and widely recommended organic natural progesterone cream

Researchers are constantly linking many forms of cancer to estrogen dominance, so it is obvious that this needs to be balanced out with progesterone.

Natural progesterone cream is the easiest and least invasive method of bring your progesterone levels up to avoid becoming estrogen dominant.
